Hybrid Software and Digimarc announce cutting-edge solutions for packaging printing

HYBRID Software, a global software company specialising in innovative prepress and workflow solutions for the graphic arts industry, has entered into a partnership with Digimarc Corporation. This agreement positions HYBRID Software as a model solution for promoting sustainability and efficiency in packaging printing.

Combined with HYBRID's state-of-the-art software, this partnership leverages Digimarc's expertise in digital watermarking to provide a seamless solution for automating brand protection and traceability.
"Partnering with Digimarc allows us to further develop our products to meet our customers' growing needs for sustainable packaging and brand integrity solutions," said Patrick Coussement, managing director of HYBRID Software. "We look forward to a long-term relationship with Digimarc and a shared commitment to delivering scalable technology to our customers and partners."
Industry benefits from forward-thinking collaboration
HYBRID and Digimarc have a long history of producing leading technologies for packaging printing. Digimarc Verify has been available to selected customers in HYBRID Software's CLOUDFLOW software since 2020 to enable error-free inspection of Digimarc digital watermarks within automated workflow processes. Digimarc digital watermarks provide covert and overt protection for physical products, packaging and digital content and are a critical layer of brand protection. These digital watermarks fully comply with industry standards, but are imperceptible to the human eye. Because the imperceptible watermark is embedded across the entire surface of the artwork, scanning is accelerated.
Digimarc Verify users benefit from an added level of security through built-in and robust workflow automation. The error rate from design to the approval cycle is drastically reduced and costly misproductions are avoided. Building on the integration already available in CLOUDFLOW, HYBRID Software also plans to add Digimarc support to its PACKZ PDF editing software to enable the application and recognition of digital watermarks during editing.
SGK, a leading global provider of packaging and branding solutions and a
trusted partner of HYBRID Software and Digimarc, has integrated the new
Digimarc functionality into the HYBRID CLOUDFLOW packaging workflow system for its global sites. "We are
convinced that our partnership with HYBRID Software and Digimarc will directly benefit
SGK's global customers directly by bringing a high level of
automation and quality control for Digimarc watermarked orders," said Francois
watermarked orders," said Francois Estellon, SVP, Global Operations & Chief
Technology Officer. "We intend to play a key role in the future development of greater integration of Digimarc.
development of greater integration of Digimarc watermarking into HYBRID
software solutions, helping the world's leading brands and retailers
brands and retail chains to accelerate their connectivity and sustainability initiatives in the
in the packaging sector."
