Color-Logic Presents at Nilpeter Panorama Open House

At the Nilpeter open house in Cincinnati, Ohio, in early June, Color-Logic metallics were featured as an enabling technology with the Nilpeter Panorama press. Mark Geeves, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing, demonstrated Color-Logic decorative effects and embellishments to the attendees, emphasizing the Color-Logic catchphrase: All Print Starts With Design.

DEVONthink 3.0 Beta 3

DEVONtechnologies today releases the third beta of DEVONthink 3.0 for Mac with another wave of improvements and fixes. It improves the annotation workflow, adds more additional information to summarized highlights, and enhances the reading list. This beta also improves smart rules and placeholders, DEVONthink's premier place for automation. Many details changes to the user interface remove friction across all workflows from renaming items in the sidebar to reordering columns in the inspectors and new contextual menu commands. Beta 3 also brings many cosmetic improvements and bug fixes.

Color-Logic Donates Touch7 Photo Software to Ryerson University

Color Logic has donated more than 150 copies of their Touch7 Photo ECG software to Toronto-based Ryerson University, for use in the School of Graphic Communications Management color management curriculum. Discussing the donation, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves said: "The Ryerson graphic communications management program provides students with hands-on workshops and real-world workflow and color management experience. Offset and flexographic press manufacturers, as well as those producing digital presses, now offer Extended Color Management inksets, and printers are beginning to offer them to clients. Experience with the Touch7 Photo ECG software will enable Ryerson graduates to step immediately into technology positions in the packaging and commercial printing industry."

Color-Logic Certifies First Printer in Mexico

Color-Logic has certified Costa Gráfica in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, as the first Color-Logic printer in Mexico. Costa Gráfica offers a full line of printing services, and was an early Xerox Iridesse user. Discussing the certification, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves said: "The Color-Logic design tools enable Costa Gráfica to reduce prepress costs and create metallic embellishments much faster and without the need for trial and error verification. Our FX-Viewer enables Costa Gráfica to preview and verify files at the concept stage, rather than use press proofing."
