RAJA Group, the leading European distributor of packaging, office supplies and industrial equipment, announces it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Verdoso for the acquisition of Retif, a French distributor specialising in equipment and supplies for retail stores.
Retif reported profitable revenue of €121 million in 2023 and employs 460 people. Based in Nice, Retif makes most of its revenues through 88 shops in Europe, 66 of which are in mainland France, 15 in Spain, 5 in Belgium, one in Luxembourg and one in the Netherlands. It also operates e-commerce websites in all its markets. Retif has a distribution center in Valence, in the south of France.
The transaction, which has received a positive opinion from both the RAJA and Retif employee representative bodies, is subject to the approval of the competition authorities. The completion of the transaction is expected in October 2024.
