Direct Mail Days 2019 again with a record number of visitors - to be continued in 2021

Direct Mail Days 2019 at W+D in Neuwied on June 5 and 6 were not only fully booked out, but also fully met the participants’ expectations the third year they were held. Founded as an exchange platform and source of ideas for direct mailing, envelope production, inserting and printing technology, in the meanwhile, the series of events has become firmly established. The decision has already been made to hold the event again in 2021 – following a break in the drupa year 2020.

Proven Ferag technology for new printing centre in Western Switzerland

Last year, the Rhône Media group from Western Switzerland built a new printing centre in Monthey (canton of Valais). The daily newspaper Le Nouvelliste and other titles from ESH Médias, such as L'ArcInfo and La Côte, are now being produced here. Ferag played an active role in helping Rhône Media relocate the mailroom technology to Monthey from Mulhouse and Woippy in France.

Jeff Prasser is the Operations Manager for the printing services division of St. Camillus, the patron saint of the sick, hospitals, nurses and physicians. It began in 1984 as a way to print forms for nursing staff of what is now one of the Milwaukee area’s largest senior care facilities. Thirty five years later, it now serves as an important revenue provider by printing work for regional customers.

Located in Aarau in Northwestern Switzerland, Mittelland Zeitungsdruck AG operates one of Switzerland’s most efficient coldset printing sites. As the portfolio not only includes daily and weekly newspapers but also high-circulation customer magazines for trade and industry, the technical possibilities in postpress processing were significantly expanded in 2018. With the help of Ferag, the company also wants to make the individualization of insert collections possible in future.
