Print and creation under one roof

SET POINT Medien GmbH and ZERO Kommunikation GmbH from Moers have now moved into their new premises in the Dieprahm Technology Park in Kamp-Lintfort. More than 4.1 million Euro turnover per year, 42 permanent employees from the region, around 1,000 customers from Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland - these are the two cooperating companies that want to offer their customers a future-oriented full service in the field of printing and creation at the new location on Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Straße.

The entrepreneur Thorsten Gerecke invested around 3.3 million euros in the construction of the new company building and in the optimisation of the machinery at Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Straße 19. The 27 employees of SET POINT Medien GmbH moved from the location at Moerser Straße to the new building, the 15 employees of ZERO now no longer have their domicile in Moers but in the neighbouring Kamp-Lintfort. Thorsten Gerecke (50) is at the same time managing director of SET POINT Medien GmbH and took over the management of ZERO Kommunikation with effect from 1 January 2017. "The construction of the new company building and the associated investment in a new printing press are important steps for us on the way to optimal economic efficiency and competitiveness," says Thorsten Gerecke.
In his team, it is above all his partner Katharina Maas (41), the long-standing SET POINT managing director Gerd Kamp (59); the deputy managing director Richard Benning (54) and the managing partner Boris Pach (38), who has been with ZERO Kommunikation since January 2019, who are realizing the vision of the media center with him. "The competitive pressure from the online market is clearly noticeable. Nevertheless, we are convinced that we can continue to score points with our customers thanks to our differentiated range of services, our high service readiness and the quality factor," says Thorsten Gerecke.
SET POINT Medien GmbH has been an established player in the printing industry for many years. ZERO Kommunikation has made a name for itself as a service provider in the fields of large-format and digital printing as well as agency services in creation and graphics, but also as a provider of lettershop activities and in the field of outdoor and trade fair advertising. ZERO was founded in 1976 by Carl Urselmann as a sole proprietorship with a focus on prepress, initially in Kamp-Lintfort, and has been based in Moers since 1995.
"For us, bringing the companies together at one location means the perfect combination of all ZERO and SET POINT services," is how Boris Pach describes his motivation. "Due to the often tight time window, e.g. in project management, more and more customers wish to have a personal contact person in the company who coordinates, implements and accompanies various ongoing projects for them. In our Media Center we can do this even more extensively than before - here the customer can order a variety of products, which are then implemented and produced in the background in the respective departments. Everything from a single source," says Gerecke.
