Finding the right floor is difficult (or not). Whenever the question arises as to which floor is appropriate in business and/or private life, it has not always been possible to score points with individuality. This changes with Fotoboden/W. & L. Jordan GmbH, when floors with and without functionality can be printed directly on vinyl. By Sabine Slaughter
The company Fotoboden from Kaarst has created a solution for almost all areas of application. Be it for trade fairs and exhibitions, be it for shops and hospitality - individual and personalised if required and with functionality if desired.
Different CV coverings (cushioned vinyl) are available for printing. For the healthcare sector, for example, there is a substrate that is bacteria-repellent, i.e. contains antibacterial protection. This special PU surface sealant contains biocides that prevent bacterial growth. The vinyl floors are 100% phthalate-free and comply with VOC emission standards to improve indoor air quality. All floors are certified with B1 (Bfl-s1) fire protection and R10 slip resistance. They are available in rolls or as tiles. They are printed with 1.8 billion pixels per square metre.
Rollable vinyl is a hard floor covering that can be customised according to requirements. Like carpet, it can be rolled up for easy storage and installed quickly and easily on arrival at the exhibition hall. In addition, rollable vinyl has several advantages over carpet. It is easier to clean. There is no need for vacuuming, just damp mopping. If something is spilled on it, it doesn't matter because vinyl doesn't stain. Vinyl floors can come in a variety of patterns so they can be seamlessly incorporated into the design. Rollable vinyl also comes in a variety of thicknesses, which means the same walking feel as interlocking rubber flooring can be achieved. The thicker the flooring, the more comfortable it is, explains the company
Individual floors can be printed with all kinds of graphics, images - in conjunction with lighting, unique photo-realistic effects can be achieved. The floors can be cut to fit exactly and can thus also be used as advertising space or for social distancing graphics.
In terms of sustainability, Fotoboden has joined a system for recycling vinyl floors. These are recycled in Germany and completely reused. After using Fotoboden, customers can return it to the company and it will be recycled to ensure a closed material loop.
