3M has reached a collaborative agreement to resolve ongoing litigation and negotiations related to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) near 3M's Decatur, Ala. facility with parties including The City of Decatur and Morgan County, the plaintiffs in St. John, and the Tennessee Riverkeeper organization.

UPM sells its Chapelle Darblay newsprint mill to the consortium of Samfi and Paprec

UPM has signed an agreement to sell its Chapelle Darblay newsprint mill site to a consortium of two partners Samfi and Paprec France SAS. The transaction is subject to customary approvals.
The sale of Chapelle Darblay is an asset sale, and no personnel will be transferred. UPM has permanently ceased production and agreed a social plan for its employees at its Chapelle newsprint mill in Grand-Couronne, France in June 2020.

More production capacity for the global market

Sandvik has acquired the medical wire forming company Accuratech Group

Sandvik has acquired the Swiss based company Accuratech Group, a niched medical wire forming and component manufacturer. The product offering includes ultra-fine wires and micro-tubes, semi-finished wire components, electroplating and other products and services mainly used for the medical industry. The company will be reported in Kanthal, a division in Sandvik Materials Technology.
