YouTube video addresses change in print industry toward online printing

"In 2014, we are celebrating 30 years of experience in printing and ten years of success in e-commerce. For the festive conclusion of our anniversary year we had a corporate image film produced that provides a profound insight into our daily business while addressing the change in the printing industry at the same time", Julia Voigt, Marketing Manager at Onlineprinters GmbH, is pleased to say about the presentation of the image film on YouTube.

As of 1 December 2014, the video clip is posted on the YouTube channel of the online print shop and is available in German, English, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish and Polish. "We want the film to show our roots and to point out what distinguishes us from other online print shops: the 30 years of experience in printing! The film uses powerful images, concise texts and epic film score to illustrate the revolutionary change in the printing sector as we have experienced it in our company", Julia Voigt explains the storyboard of the 3.5 minute video clip.

"We think that with our corporate film we also document a piece of industrial history. We have asserted ourselves in a sector in a time of change, on the one hand by walking the path from the crafts business to the highly automated print service provider, and on the other hand by using the Internet revolution for transferring the sale of printed products onto the Internet. The film documents: "Printing and Internet are growing together now"

In the YouTube video, the spectator looks behind the scenes of the production of offset and digital printing material, as well as large-format printing products used in advertising systems: from the order receipt in the online shop and the placement of print data on the combined-run forms to production, further processing and shipping, the audience gets an exclusive insight into the online print shop's highly efficient production method. Also, there is always a qualified employee behind each machine. "Quality control in every stage of production is a priority with us. And the 'look through the magnifying glass' shows that state-of-the-art technology for large print runs and the hand work involved in large format printing belong together", Voigt emphasises. A staff of 550 specialists work in production and sales at the Onlineprinters GmbH headquarters in the European metropolitan area of Nuremberg in the anniversary year 2014. "Iʼm an Onlineprinter" is the name of an advertising campaign presently running in Europe. "What connects us is our passion for printed products and for online printing.
