LSC Communications Signs Multi-Year Agreement with Elsevier to Provide Book Fulfillment and Distribution Services in USA

Acquires Elsevier's Linn, Missouri Fulfillment and Distribution Center

LSC Communications (NYSE: LKSD) announced today a multi-year agreement with Elsevier, the global information analytics business specializing in science and health. LSC currently prints a significant share of Elsevier’s books and journals and, under the new agreement, will begin providing book fulfillment and distribution services in 2019 for Elsevier’s US markets.

Additionally, LSC has acquired Elsevier's Linn, Missouri Fulfillment and Distribution Center. Consequently, all Elsevier employees will be transferred to LSC in 2019. The addition of this facility will further strengthen LSC’s ongoing focus on providing a full range of supply chain services for publishers of both printed and electronic books.

Anita Chandraprakash, EVP of Global Operation, Elsevier, said “We’re pleased to have reached an agreement with LSC for the sale of the Linn facility and have engaged in a multi-year agreement for warehouse fulfillment services. This is a very positive outcome which allows us to continue the high level of service our customers expect.”

Dave McCree, President of Book Sales at LSC Communications, said “The Linn, Missouri warehouse distribution center is a strategic fit to our Book Publisher Services platform and expands our fulfillment and distribution footprint. We look forward to providing fulfillment services to Elsevier and future clients out of the Linn facility.”
