Scott Leger Joins Memjet as Vice President of Business Development

Seasoned Inkjet Professional Joins Company as Interest in Memjet’s DuraLink Technology Continues to Expand

As interest in DuraLink technology continues to grow, Memjet (Memjet.com) announced today that Scott Leger has joined the company as vice president of business development. In this role, Leger will manage the interest, engagement and development process for OEM partners interested in harnessing DuraLink’s capabilities for their high-volume presses.
“DuraLink is gaining interest from OEM partners around the globe for good reason: its modular architecture enables OEMs to build presses with the quality, speed and affordability needed to compete in production print markets,” said Eric Owen, general manager at Memjet.
“Scott’s industry knowledge, combined with his rich history of developing and integrating inkjet applications, makes him the right person to expand these relationships and develop solutions that make Memjet, its OEM partners and end-user customers successful. We welcome him to Memjet.”
Engineering Expertise and Creativity
Leger’s work experience is centered at FUJIFILM Dimatix, a piezo inkjet company. Over the course of his 22 years at FUJIFILM Dimatix, Leger’s work contributed to growing the organization from a small startup to a global inkjet industry leader.
Leger was an early member of the Fujifilm Integration Systems Group. This effort combined Leger’s printhead engineering expertise and creative thinking to develop integrated custom solutions for end-user applications. These applications stretched the boundaries of what the industry thought could be achieved with inkjet printing, including printing directly on food items and expanding industrial printing applications.
As the company grew, so did Leger’s role. He became business development manager, creating inkjet solutions and programs for leading organizations around the globe. Leger managed functions that included engineering, manufacturing, marketing and technical support to ensure the delivery of successful projects.
“When Memjet announced its DuraLink technology, I knew I wanted to be a part of it,” said Leger. “DuraLink’s features got my attention; the highest image quality on the market, quick printhead replacement times, robust modular component designs and longer printhead life make it a compelling solution.”
“As my knowledge of the company grew, my enthusiasm moved beyond just the technology. Memjet is built on a solid foundation, yet still maintains the agility of a startup capturing new opportunities. The combination of technology, innovation and passion for success positions Memjet to be a worldwide leader in inkjet solutions. I am pleased to be part of the team that can help make that happen.”
Leger holds an electrical engineering degree and master’s degree in business administration from Plymouth State University.
