Demand for INX’s TRIANGLE® HFB UV Curable ink for HP Scitex printers keeps increasing. As a silver sponsor, INX (booth 237) will explain to franchise printers how they can save a substantial amount of money and improve print performance using the alternative ink at the 2020 FASTSIGNS International Convention, January 16-17 at the Phoenix Convention Center.
“Since the FASTSIGNS convention last year in Orlando, we are now over 100 conversions with HFB inks. Franchise owners of sign centers have taken notice of its exceptional performance that is creating the opportunity for them to grow sales,” explained Evan Lyons, INX Regional Sales Manager – West U.S. “The typical conversion has led to an average cost savings of 36 percent and a 15 percent reduction in ink usage.”
Like all TRIANGLE® brand alternative inks, HFB runs cleaner than OEM inks. It also provides excellent adhesion and great flexibility on a vast range of graphic medias. Optimized for curing both UV and LED on HP® FB printers, HFB delivers excellent performance and is intended for jetting with high consistency on HP Scitex FB500™, FB700™, and FB900™ printers.
Lyons said HFB inks are in great demand since they cure quickly and offer high chemical resistance. An extensive color gamut with consistent repeatability is another intangible. Since HFB has higher gloss content, it provides more color “POP” than more matte OEM. It’s also why INX offers more canned profiles for various HP printer DPI settings internal to the printer, thus making the profiles popular for flexible and rigid substrate end users to print on.
“We understand that achieving high-density reds, such as the true Coca-Cola red, time after time is important to earn repeat corporate business. You can do this using HFB without sacrificing quality,” he remarked, indicating that four and six-color solutions with ink-making customer color profiles are part of the conversion process. “Customers are pleased with the ink jetting and smoothness for tight detail.”
FASTSIGNS International Convention attendees will see for themselves the difference. HFB is formulated to achieve GRACoL standards and reach G7 targets, so there is a visual difference when compared it to HP’s 250 OEM ink in side-by-side comparisons. HFB’s flexibility helps to reduce chipping and peeling; chipping is lessened when used on rigid coroplast, DiBond and Sintra for outdoor signage and is trimmed to size with industrial cutters.
HFB is made available in eco-friendly, bag-in-box packaging to minimize waste. The inks also are supported by the INX Ink Train warranty, the most comprehensive of its kind in the industry that covers TRIANGLE wide format inks for outdoor durability. Lyons will explain more about it and how the conversion process works with INX trained technicians in booth 237.
