UniPixel, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNXL), today announced that it introduced its XTouch and Diamond Guard technologies to a number of leading PC manufacturers, touchscreen integrators, and component providers attending the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show ("CES") in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 6 - 8, 2016. The Company hosted a number of product and technology demonstrations for existing and potential new customers, as well as potential ecosystem partners at the Westgate Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
Brett Gaines, vice president of marketing for UniPixel, commented, "The ability to meet with a number of potential new customers and partners at a single venue dramatically leverages our sales efforts. UniPixel's highly differentiated products and technologies were very well received as they address some of the most important issues facing leading device manufacturers in creating next generation devices that are thinner, lighter and faster for their end-user customers. As a company in the early stages of executing on an aggressive sales and marketing initiative to the largest computing device manufacturers worldwide, this was an outstanding event to demonstrate the effectiveness of our products and the value they can add to our customers' products.
"We were particularly pleased to have met with a leading stylus manufacturer where we had the opportunity to demonstrate how our XTouch sensor technology can significantly improve the performance of their stylus instrument," continued Mr. Gaines. "The use of a stylus with computing devices is dramatically increasing as consumers seek to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of their devices. The higher the 'signal-to-noise' ratio of a sensor, the more effective a stylus can be in terms of speed and clarity. Our XTouch sensor technology features the highest signal-to-noise ratio in the industry. Having demonstrated the effectiveness of our technology we have taken an important first step in laying the groundwork for a potential new partnership that can incrementally drive XTouch sensor revenue in the coming years."
Mr. Gaines concluded, "In addition, with the operating efficiencies achieved in our Colorado Springs plant since the completion of the basecoat technology transfer this past December, we are now better positioned to serve our customers with the technological attributes and cost profiles that can help UniPixel gain market share in 2016 and beyond. We look forward to follow-up discussions with many of the device manufacturers that met with us."
