Second Largest U.S. Solar Installer to Open Three More Regional Offices in the Garden State, Hire Over 200 Employees to Offer Homeowners Lower Cost Energy
Vivint Solar, a leading full-service residential solar integrator, today announced its growing presence in New Jersey with its expansion into the Sayreville, Mount Laurel and Toms River areas. Vivint Solar first made its offerings available to Garden State residents in the fall of 2011 and its expansion highlights the growing demand for residential solar solutions. The company plans to hire more than 200 employees in the combined new locations to continue providing its affordable solar solutions to homeowners.
"New Jersey is a special state for us because Vivint Solar made its debut in Pine Brook in 2011 and we have since grown into six other states," said Chance Allred, vice president of sales at Vivint Solar. "We are excited to continue offering even more New Jersey homeowners cost savings with affordable solar energy."
Vivint Solar's new territory expansion coincides with GTM Research and the Solar Energy Industries Association's Solar Market Insight Year in Review 2013, which showed photovoltaic installations continued to grow, increasing 41 percent nationally from 2012. As the second largest residential solar installer in the United States, Vivint Solar's growth in New Jersey, the second largest solar market in the country, is indicative of the growing acceptance of residential solar as a mainstream energy source for homeowners.
"I chose Vivint Solar to save energy and help the environment," said Patricia Richard, a Vivint Solar customer in Nutley, New Jersey. "In just a few short months I've seen my energy bills go from an average of $116 a month to $58 a month. I couldn't be happier."
