Threadless™, the global design company known best for their unique t-shirts, and Recycled Paper Greetings (RPG) are teaming up to bring Threadless' community-driven artwork to national retailers by way of a new line of greeting cards. Available on June 16, this new line of cards gives 61 artists from 18 countries the opportunity for their artwork to be sold in a physical retail environment outside of the Threadless website.
"We're really proud of this partnership because this further supports our ongoing commitment to providing independent artists exposure and compensation for their work," says Threadless CEO and Founder, Jake Nickell. "The chance to have artwork sold in retail locations across the country is a huge deal for these artists, as it provides the chance for more people to see and purchase an artist's work through a physical retail experience."
The new collection of greeting cards will feature sentiments for a range of life events such as birthdays, friendship, love and more.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Threadless," says Sue Buchta, president of Papyrus-Recycled Greetings. "Our brands have a shared commitment to originality, creativity and independent artistry. We're a perfect fit."
Threadless and Recycled Paper Greetings will continue to work together to source designs created by independent artists from the Threadless community of over three million members via an ongoing greeting card challenge
