Stora Enso has appointed Noel Morrin to head the Group's Global Responsibility function and as a member of the Group Leadership Team as of 1 April 2015.
Noel Morrin is an Irish citizen and has held several leadership positions in the field of sustainability and environmental affairs, most recently, since 2005, as SVP for Sustainability & Green Support at Skanska in Sweden. Before that he worked as Group Environment Director for the world's largest concrete producer and Europe's largest quarrying company, RMC Group. Prior to RMC he held senior roles at the UK National Environmental Technology Centre, the British NGO Business in the Community and the global chemical company ICI.
"We welcome Noel Morrin to the Stora Enso team with high expectations. He will bring us a solid background in responsibility issues and strengthen our team with international experience from various industries," says Stora Enso CEO Karl-Henrik Sundström.
Terhi Koipijärvi has been acting EVP, Global Responsibility since September 2014. She will continue to work in Stora Enso in a new role to be defined later.
"I would like to thank Terhi Koipijärvi for her valuable contribution in our responsibility work during the autumn," says Sundström.
