Howard Hill Appointed Chief Operating Officer
RF INDUSTRIES, LTD. (NASDAQ:RFIL) announced today that its Board of Directors has promoted Johnny Carl Walker, President of RF Industries, to the additional position of Chief Executive Officer. The Company's former CEO, Howard Hill, was appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Hill said, "This change culminates the Company's plan for my successor. Since joining the Company last October, Johnny has spearheaded the Company's M&A strategic initiative including the recent acquisition of Comnet Telecom Supply. As the Company's Chief Operating Officer, Johnny and I will continue to work together to successfully grow the Company's business operations."
Prior to joining the Company as President, Mr. Walker was most recently CEO and CFO of Hutton Communications from 1999 to 2014, where he and his team led this wireless company to overall profitability during his tenure, multiple acquisitions and was instrumental in the development of a private label line of wireless accessories. Prior to1998 Mr. Walker served with several public companies as COO and CFO, and was heavily involved in merger and acquisition activities. Until 1983, he was a Partner with Deloitte & Touche (Haskins & Sells). Mr. Walker is a CPA (inactive), studied Accounting and Finance at Texas Tech, received his BBA at Texas A&M Commerce and his MSA at Texas Tech.
