Experience the Future of Digital Printing: HP Unveils Revolutionary Digital Press Solutions at HID 2025

HP Unveils its Fastest Integrated Book Production Solution at Hunkeler Innovationdays Alongside HP Indigo’s Next Generation Supplies with Cutting Edge Innovations that Champion Efficiency and Productivity at Hunkeler Innovationdays (HID) 2025 HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) unveiled the latest advancements in its industry-leading digital printing technology.

With a focus on innovations that provide businesses with new opportunities to capitalize on the evolving digital print market, HP introduced solutions across its HP Indigo and HP PageWide portfolio.
HP is revolutionizing the commercial printing industry with two innovative technologies, HP Indigo Liquid Electrophotography (LEP) and HP PageWide Thermal Inkjet (TIJ). These leading solutions - supported by a unified software and services ecosystem - are setting the standard for efficiency, production versatility and application diversity. By integrating both HP Indigo LEP and HP PageWide TIJ into its industrial print portfolio, HP equips print service providers with the right technology, allowing them to allocate the right press to meet the need of each print job, optimizing quality, cost and speed.
At Hunkeler Innovationdays, HP is showcasing how its advanced technologies are setting a new standard for digital print production with the industry’s fastest end-to-end book production solution ever shown at a trade show, producing 750 finished, bound books printed from blank sheets and rolls. This demonstration brings together the power of HP Indigo and HP PageWide technologies with HP’s Intelligent Automation ecosystem.
Haim Levit, Senior Vice President and Division President, HP Industrial said “HP is redefining the future of commercial printing through automation, efficiency and seamless integration—empowering businesses with smarter, faster, and more adaptive solutions. Our commitment lies in equipping customers with cutting-edge technology, providing that every print job is executed with precision, reliability, and scalability. By standardizing intelligent automation across our portfolio of presses, we are not just enhancing operational efficiency but also setting new benchmarks for quality and innovation in the industry.”
HP Indigo Introduces Next Generation of Sustainable Consumable Supplies to Boost Productivity
HP Indigo is introducing the next generation of consumable supplies designed to enhance print sustainability and boost productivity. This groundbreaking package of consumable supplies enables HP Indigo customers to reduce waste and CO2 emissions while simultaneously decreasing operator workload, saving time, space, and without compromising the renowned print quality of HP Indigo’s LEP technology. Supplies have always been the foundation of HP Indigo’s technology and with this new package, the company has achieved a breakthrough that redefines its print business.
The key innovations include the CMYK+ with new advancements such as a higher ink solid concentration, the Printing Imaging Plate (PIP+) with a new formulation in two key layers, and the Regenerated Imaging Oil (RIO), in-press recycling system for the ink carrier. This package increases press availability by reducing the need for replacements with the new CMYK+ and PIP+, saving up to a total of 6 hours per month — freeing up more time to print profitable pages. The use of the new supplies package reduces up to 16% of the carbon emissions from supply consumption for an average job printed on a typical HP Indigo digital press.
“HP Indigo is committed to our customers’ success and continually seeks new ways to enhance the productivity and performance of our presses, including from a sustainability perspective. Reducing emissions matters—to us and to our customers,” said Noam Zilbershtain, Vice President and General Manager, HP Indigo. “These changes to our consumable supplies mark the most significant advancements in years, representing a major step forward in helping our customers maximize press uptime, minimize waste and reduce operational costs.”
HP Indigo 120K and HP Indigo 18K Digital Presses are Delivering on Promises at Customer Sites Worldwide
In March 2024, HP unveiled two new presses designed to help customers transition to digital printing seamlessly, profitably, and successfully, allowing them to better adapt to market demands. Less than a year after HP Indigo announced the two new digital presses, customers are already reaping their benefits across high-value commercial applications. HP has set itself apart by launching the HP Indigo 120K and HP Indigo 18K B2 digital presses, enabling customers to benefit from uninterrupted, nonstop printing and enhanced versatility through AI-powered tools.
The HP Indigo 120K and HP Indigo 18K presses help accelerate the analog to digital transformation. Emphasizing productivity, economics, offset print quality and automation, they take versatility to new heights, together with embedded AI-based solutions that digitize the entire production floor. German printing and media service provider, Limego, was one of the first beta customers to install the HP Indigo 120K. Since installing the new digital press, Limego can now handle all production in-house for the first time, eliminating the need to outsource long runs to offset specialists. “Our beta testing of the HP Indigo 120K Digital Press has truly transformed the way we operate our business here at Limego. We are now able to produce everything in-house with a true offset conversion thanks to the speed and productivity that this new and innovative digital press offers. It’s easy to use, the quality is given, and it produces hundreds of jobs per day!” said Dirk Reinhardt, Member of the board, Limego.
