GMC Software Technology Hires New President, EMEA

Ian Clarke joins GMC to drive EMEA growth

GMC Software Technology (GMC), the award-winning leader in Customer Communications Management (CCM), announces Ian Clarke has joined the company as president EMEA. Clarke brings 30 years' global and EMEA experience, working in the business-to-business application software and document management sectors. His priorities are to grow the EMEA business and reinforce GMC's market leadership in building omnichannel customer communication strategies.

Clarke arrives from Compuware Corporation where he was the global sales director for enterprise business, focused on developing and delivering the organization's B2B application software sales and solution strategy. This experience is complemented by his time at Xerox, giving him a clear understanding of how businesses use mission-critical applications and document content to interact, build customer loyalty, drive cost efficiencies and reach new markets/customers. This pedigree means he is well-positioned to take the helm of the EMEA operations.

Henri Dura, CEO, GMC Software Technology, said: "Ian is an important new addition to the GMC management team and embodies our culture of passion and innovation that will build our business in EMEA. Both Gartner and Forrester have ranked us as market leaders in their recent reports on CCM and Ian is a crucial link to capitalize on this by helping drive our ambitious company growth plan."

Ian Clarke explained: "I'm excited to join a company that recognizes the importance of the customer experience. The GMC Inspire platform delivers real benefits to organizations looking to solve the business and IT challenges surrounding consistent customer communications in this mobile age. With GMC driving the technology market with exciting dynamic communication solutions and a host of smart document process applications (SdPA), it's all about choice and giving customers the information they want, when they want and via the channel they want - print, social media or email.

"It's all about delivering good customer service and this is where GMC excels. It is inspiring to be working with its great R&D, sales and marketing teams to build the EMEA division for now and the future."
