A Road Show in the Middle East at Iran Print&Pack

The Iranian market is of considerable interest to producers of machinery for the printing industry: Converflex, as part of its own international road show calendar, will be exhibiting at the Iran Print&Pack exhibition to be held at Tehran's International Permanent Fairground from the 27th to the 30th of December.

This is one of the most important events of its kind for the printing industry in the Middle East, and represents an excellent opportunity to establish a presence in a market that is a wealth of opportunities. Iran, with over 70 million inhabitants and a constantly expanding communications sector, shows growing interest in printing and packaging technology and the corresponding services and products.

In Iran, the demand for printing machinery has grown in conjunction with the expansion of the computer market and with recent technological developments. Computerization has advanced at a considerable speed in Iran, a country which started from a position of relative backwardness in the field. From the point of view of the development of business relations, Iran is one of the most interesting countries in the Middle East owing to the propensity for technological modernization characterizing the current phase of its development.

This is confirmed by the results of Iran Pack&Print, the most recent edition of which, held in December 2013, pointed to a growing interest in the country's expansion in this field, with a 120% increase in the number of foreign visitors to the exhibition over the previous year. The exhibition, dedicated entirely to packaging and printing machinery, saw more than 450 exhibitors share the latest information and technological developments within the sector.

According to the latest report by PCI Film Consulting, the flexible packaging market in the Middle East is forecast to grow by 4.3% in the next 5 years. The main factors pointing to this positive development include the rapid urbanization of the country, the increasingly youthful composition of the population, and increased investment in food production.
