DuPont Announces Executive Leadership Changes

James C. Borel and Gary W. Spitzer to Retire in Early 2016

Today DuPont announced the following executive leadership changes, effective Jan. 1, 2016 to streamline the company for growth and simplify the organization.

James C. Collins, executive vice president, will lead the DuPont Agriculture business segment. Marc Doyle has been named executive vice president and will lead the Electronics & Communications, Industrial Biosciences, Nutrition & Health, Performance Materials and Safety & Protection business segments.

Richard C. Olson has been named senior vice president – Corporate Services and will assume responsibility for the Safety, Health & Environment, Operational Excellence, Facility Services & Real Estate, Sourcing & Logistics and Information Technology functions. Douglas Muzyka, senior vice president and chief science and technology officer, adds responsibility for Engineering Technologies and the company's regional leadership.

In addition to the leadership changes, James C. Borel, executive vice president and Gary W. Spitzer, senior vice president, Integrated Operations and Engineering have elected to retire following 36 years of service with DuPont, respectively, effective in early 2016.

Breen, DuPont chairman and CEO.

Borel joined DuPont in 1978 as a sales representative in Agricultural Products and throughout his early career, he held a variety of product, sales, operations, human resources and business management positions in Agricultural Products in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan. Borel was appointed vice president and general manager of DuPont Crop Protection in 1997, senior vice president, DuPont Human Resources in 2004 and group vice president, responsible for the agricultural businesses in 2008. He was named to his current position in 2009.

Spitzer joined DuPont in 1979 and held several technical service, field sales, marketing and new business development roles, including assignments in Germany and Hong Kong. In 1997, Spitzer assumed a series of business leadership roles in Specialty Chemicals, Protein Technologies and DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise. He became president of DuPont Chemicals & Fluoroproducts in 2009 and named to his current position in 2012.
