Satori Postal Expert Bob Schimek Named PostCom Executive Vice Chairman

Satori Software announced today that the company's Sr. Director of Postal Affairs, Bob Schimek, has been appointed Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of the Association for Postal Commerce, or PostCom, the national association of businesses and organizations that use or support the use of mail for business communications and commerce.

PostCom represents its members before the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Postal Service, the Postal Service's Board of Governors, the Postal Regulatory Commission and all other federal agencies that impact national postal policies and operations.
Schimek, an acknowledged leader on postal issues with more than 25 years of mailing industry experience, has served on the PostCom board for five-and-a-half years. This appointment elevates him to the PostCom executive committee, giving him a new role in driving discussion on the issues that most concern organizations that use mail to generate communications and commerce.
"I am honored to have been appointed to this position and hope that my long experience in the postal industry will contribute to the success of PostCom's mandate to advocate for its members," said Schimek. "My involvement at this high level of PostCom also serves Satori customers by ensuring they have access to the latest information about postal operations and policy, including legislative reform, so they can be confident that what they do on a day-to-day basis works without issue."
Schimek is also chairman of the PostCom PostOps Committee, which enables him to talk with the PostCom membership about their concerns, identify changes and enlighten members on their potential impacts, and update them on upcoming legislative reforms. He represents Satori Software and its customers with postal industry associations, including MTAC, where he also represents IDEAlliance, AMEE and AMSP, where he serves on the Board of Directors.
