Dave Bagshaw brings industry expertise to accelerate growth of the new Photobucket Print Shop™
Photobucket Corporation, a leading online photo sharing and print community, today announced the appointment of Dave Bagshaw to its Board of Directors. Having formerly served as CEO of Shutterfly, Bagshaw brings extensive industry and board level expertise to Photobucket.
"Dave is a veteran and visionary in the digital photo and print industry," said Tom Munro, CEO of Photobucket. "We will use Dave's expertise as we further monetize our customer base of 50 million unique users," continued Munro. "His insight will be particularly valuable as we extend the Photobucket Print ShopTM brand through partner channels in the upcoming months."
In September of this year, Photobucket launched their new Photobucket Print ShopTM on their website and have already seen 120% growth in print revenue year over year. Photobucket also launched Print Shop on their iOS mobile app, with Android coming this month. They are entering the very large consumer greeting card market with this week's debut of their holiday line for the 2014 Season. "The growth Photobucket experienced in just a couple months is dramatic. It's great to see this momentum heading into the holidays," said Dave Bagshaw. Dave Bagshaw was CEO of Shutterfly from 2003-2005. He established Shutterfly's foothold in the digital photo print merchandise market. Bagshaw's impressive background includes over 35 years of experience at notable companies such as Silicon Graphics, @Home Networks, Excite@Home, and Shutterfly. Most recently Bagshaw has been Chairman of the Board for Riekes Center for Human Enhancement and EVP of Corporate Development and member of the Board of Directors for Renewable Funding. He is a mentor for Boost VC and works with Enmetric and University Games as well. Bagshaw earned his BSME and his MBA from Stanford University.
