Industrial garment print expert Mark Gervais to lead textile printing conference
Visitors to FESPA China & CSGIA 2014 will find a host of exhibitors and conference sessions focused on textile printing when the exhibition opens its doors in three weeks' time, 19-21 November 2014 at the Guangzhou Pazhou Poly World Trade Centre, Guangzhou, China.
FESPA China 2014 will illustrate the latest trends and applications for textile printers across both screen and digital technologies, reflecting the continued growth of this industry in Asia.
Neil Felton, FESPA CEO, comments: "As an organiser of speciality print events, textile printing is a natural area of focus for FESPA all over the world. The industry is rooted in the screen printing process, but digital technology is making a significant impact across all textile printing applications – soft signage, garments and fashion textiles and interior decoration. Our recent Digital Textile Conference in Italy signalled clearly how dynamic this sector is, to the extent that we are hosting a second conference this year in Turkey, both hotspots in the global textile printing market.
"Textile printing has always been a focus of the CSGIA event, and FESPA is building on this by bringing the latest insights into how digital is transforming textile print production, supporting Chinese textile printers with the analogue to digital transition."
As part of the FESPA China educational programme, day one (19 November) of Global Forum will focus on the innovation and development of textile printing, with keynote speaker Mark Gervais, kicking off the proceedings. Gervais, Director of Screen Print at Ningbo Shenzhou Knitting Co., Ltd., will host the first seminar (12:30 – 13:30) entitled Digital Print Fabric – Investigations and Experiences.
Following Mark in the Global Forum on day one is Mr Song Haiyang, Manager of Large Format Printer, Epson (China) Co., Ltd (13:30 – 14:30) who will look at the application of micro jet textile printing. Mr Rong Hua, Marketing Manager at Shanghai HK Digital Tech Co., Ltd., follows (14:30 – 15:30) looking at the development of cut-parts digital printing. The textile printing conference will conclude with Mr. Xin Guohua, CEO of Human Digital Tech Co., Ltd., (15:40 – 16:30) who will discuss the application of digital printing on ceramics and for interior decoration.
Away from the conference theatre, internationally renowned screen printer Charlie Taublieb will host interactive t-shirt screen printing workshops throughout the exhibition. The feature will help textile printers to master a variety of garment screen printing techniques and special effects, giving visitors the chance to print their own design.
Mark Gervais comments: "Textile printers will benefit tremendously through the networking opportunities FESPA China 2014 presents. They will also be able to investigate newpossibilities from suppliers of raw materials andcomponents for inks, seek out new manufacturers of automatedmachinery solutions or examine new and developing digital print technologies for a variety of unique applications.
"Over the past several years the CSGIA and FESPA China exhibition has become larger and exhibitors are better at servicing their customers' demands while keeping up with current trends. People who spend time to network, not only with the suppliers and exhibitors but with otherattendees, get the most out of what'shappening in our industry today and tomorrow."
