Asahi Photoproducts, a pioneer in flexographic photopolymer plate development, today reported that Nabe Process Co., Ltd., a major Japanese printing company, has tested Asahi’s AWP™ CleanPrint water-washable flexographic plates against conventional solvent-based plates to measure differences in quality and productivity between the two.

Maruti Printing transformed its business as the first printer in India to adopt the latest LED-UV curing technology from AMS Spectral UV, a Baldwin Technology Company. The hybrid system, which includes traditional UV modules, has been in production for nearly two years and has significantly expanded the offset printer’s capabilities for its customers, including adding the ability to print on all types of plastic substrates.

Printing ink producers face continued severe supply chain problems

The European Printing Ink Association (EuPIA) points again, following a communication earlier in 2021, to an aggregation of factors, mostly triggered by the COVID-19 crisis, which are severely impacting the overall raw material supply chain. Whilst EuPIA members continue to work tenaciously to minimize risks to customers, they highlight the economic pressures impacting the printing inks market below.
