Advantage ColorGraphics of LA Orders Second Landa Digital Press

New 7-Color Landa S11P with 11K Speed is Industry’s Fastest, Most Versatile B1 Digital Press

Advantage ColorGraphics, the fast-growing LA-based printer counting the world’s most prominent brands and trade printers among its clientele, has ordered its second Landa Digital Printing press, the companies said today. Scheduled for delivery by the end of 2024, Advantage’s S11P will include 7 colors and the new 11K module supporting 11,200 SPH.

The Landa S11 and S11P presses and modules became commercially available at Drupa 2024.
“Advantage ColorGraphics has consistently pushed the boundaries of consumer communications and marketing, earning the company a seat at the table with some of the world’s most prestigious providers,” says Landa’s Chief Business Officer, Sharon Cohen. “As such, we are grateful that Tom’s team demonstrates the unique abilities, sustainable advantages, and overall value of our technology with every Landa job that goes out the door.
“Landa is also cognizant of our responsibilities to such an amazing partner,” Cohen continues. “We trust Advantage’s exclusive understanding of the dynamic consumerist environment we’re in today, and look forward to continuing the close, collaborative relationship that allows us to incorporate requirements and preferences accordingly, as we move forward.”
Advantage CEO and President Tom Ling says that the first Landa press not only met the company’s need to accommodate high volumes of B1 offset work; it also gave Advantage the ability to respond to rapidly-growing demand for personalized print and direct mail opportunities. The company is also expanding its pharmaceutical and health and beauty service areas, making the S11P’s capabilities especially relevant for Advantage’s next stage of growth.
“Landa made it possible for us to escape from what had become a constant “putting out fires” mode by getting our B1 work, and increasing personalized and direct mail jobs, under control,” Ling says. “We got the work done in a fraction of the time and reached sustainability and waste reduction goals much faster than we expected.”
In the 2+ years since it took delivery of the first Landa, Ling says the company has been able to expand its services as well as open new production facilities to serve its growing customer base. “We’re adding all kinds of options and moving into new verticals,” he says.
“And it’s not like we’re only adding work for the Landa presses,” Ling says. “But it’s the Landa that allowed us to add the work. And now, with a second Landa press, we’ll be able to do much more.”
