CCL Label presents megatrends premiumization and sustainability at Paris Packaging Week

CCL Label will be exhibiting at Paris Packaging Week in France from January 28-29 for the first time. The focus will be on labels and sleeves that combine premiumization and sustainability – two megatrends in the packaging industry.

The focus will be on labels for premium beverage such as wine, champagne and spirits showcasing different decoration technologies. “Premium beverages require premium labels with high-end embellishments, shiny elements and also state-of-the-art embossing techniques. The design of the labels is carefully crafted by designers – it is up to the skilled printer to bring the vision of the label to life. We will showcase the elements high-end labels and sleeves can combine to achieve an outstanding result and a label that helps the product truly stand out on the shelf”, says Reinhard Streit, Managing Director and Vice President Food&Beverage Europe.
Amongst the latest innovations in high-end embellishments which CCL is showcasing in Paris are haute couture die cutting, micro and nano-engraving, embossing and the “sustainable shine” technology, a special printing technique that reduces waste in production and has a much lower CO2 impact on the finished product. Also, sustainable label materials will be exhibited that contain certain percentages of recycled or bio-based content.
“We just opened our latest addition to the wine&spirits plant family in Novi Ligure, Italy offering the latest printing technologies to the local beverage industry. We just opened our doors a few weeks ago and Paris Packaging Week is the ideal opportunity to learn more about the plant and the excellent capabilities”, explains Barbara Chittaro, Business Development Director of CCL Label in Italy. “We are also exhibiting some outstanding labels that have won awards in the industry that feature very special effects that we can achieve with our printing assets and expert colleagues at our multiple sites.”
