AMERICAN VANADIUM CORP. The UL mark is the single most accepted product accreditation in the United States and is generally a pre-requisite for permitting and insurance.

"This UL certification is one of the important criteria in the permitting of new technologies for use in buildings and thus is a major step forward in our upcoming installation at the headquarters of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority at 2 Broadway in Manhattan. With what we believe is the first UL certification of a flow battery, we are now able to singly pursue much of the behind-the-meter market which requires certification for permitting, insurance and finance."
Underwriters Laboratories was established in 1894, and is the world's largest non-profit product safety certification organization, with global name recognition and acceptance. Products intended to be used in the workplace must be listed by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) such as Underwriters Laboratories which are accredited by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
