Europe Welcomes the Inaugural BLT-S800 3D Printer with Impressive Build Dimensions of 800mm×800 mm×600mm
Bright Laser Technologies (BLT), a global leader in providing comprehensive turnkey solutions for metal additive manufacturing, is delighted to announce its strategic collaboration with Extreme Manufacturing Engineering (EME), an Additive Manufacturing solutions provider based in Veneto, Italy.
EME made a significant acquisition at Formnext 2023 by purchasing the BLT-S800 and BLT-S450, addressing the growing demand for versatile 3D printing services catering to both serial production and rapid prototyping of various-sized components. The BLT-S800, designed for serialized manufacturing, boasts eight powerful 500W lasers, enabling the rapid production of large parts, with dimensions measuring 800mm × 800mm × 600mm (W × D × H). On the other hand, the BLT-S450 comes equipped with six lasers and offers a build volume of 450mm × 450mm × 500mm (W × D × H), making it suitable for small and medium-sized parts.
By integrating BLT's advanced metal additive manufacturing technology and expertise with EME's innovative solutions and industry insights, both companies express their strong belief in the potential of their partnership to address industry challenges, offering substantial benefits to their customers.
“We have increasing demand for additively manufactured parts in Europe, especially in automotive, consumer electronics, medical devices, and other applications, such as structural parts for amusement rides,” explained Eddi Tomat, CEO of EME. “Given their rich history and leadership in additive manufacturing, BLT is the ideal partner for us. Additionally, the BLT team has consistently demonstrated professionalism and attentiveness in addressing our needs and inquiries and we anticipate fostering even closer collaboration with BLT.”
"BLT has taken the lead in introducing the large-format printing system in the industry, with extensive experience in the development of large-sized, multi-laser printing solutions. These two systems have undergone years of market validation. We hope to lower the threshold of adopting this technology and bring metal 3D printing to millions of factories by adhering to the principle of ‘’make it possible, make it affordable‘’. We are happy that BLT and EME reached the consensus“, explained Dr Xue Lei, CEO of BLT.
At Formnext 2023, BLT wowed attendees at Formnext 2023 with its impressive lineup of turnkey solutions for metal additive manufacturing. The company proudly presented its complex parts in various applications alongside its in-house software, BLT-BP, and BLT-MES, as well as their top-notch BLTM powders. However, stealing the spotlight was the awe-inspiring demonstration of the Airbus Qualified BLT-S400 and its powder circulation system, which produced full substrate parts right on the spot. This remarkable display garnered significant attention from numerous international customers, who were captivated by BLT's innovative offerings. In fact, the event proved to be highly fruitful for BLT, as they inked purchase contracts for BLT-S400 printing machines and expressed their intention to establish further contracts with several overseas customers.
