UBM Conferences Unveils Details of Brand New Packaging Conference in Turkey

Leading events organiser UBM Conferences, a division of UBM Plc (LSE: UBM), has announced the first details for its 'Turkish Packaging Now: Global Trends, Local Insight' conference to be held in Istanbul, Turkey from 27-29th November 2012.

The conference is the first event of its kind to be held in Turkey with a focus specifically on the Turkish packaging industry, framing it within a wider global context. A unique event, the conference will focus on the rapidly-growing Turkish packaging industry, allowing its professionals to compete at a global level, by providing cutting-edge insight and knowledge from both the global and domestic marketplace.

The two-day programme, currently in development, will include an agenda full of interactive presentations, discussions and debate. Several speakers have already been confirmed, however UBM Conferences are keen to hear from industry professionals who would like to contribute and have issued a Call for Papers. The programme will focus on the following areas: Innovation, Sustainability, Market expansion, Global and European developments and Maximising export opportunities. "This event aims to facilitate networking and discussion between global and domestic players who are active in the Turkish packaging market," stated Conference Producer, Leanne Davies. "With packaging consumption in Turkey increasing so rapidly in relation with the expanding retail market, sales of packaged products to the final consumer have increased. For the last five years, the average Turkish packaging industry growth rate has been 6% so the 'Turkish Packaging Now: Global Trends, Local Insight' conference offers the perfect platform to update and inform the industry on how to operate on both global and domestic levels in the future."

Set to attract senior executives from across the packaging industry,, bag, the event will offer delegates a combination of case studies, market analysis and insight and industry trends that will allow attendees to maximise learning during the event. In addition to the educational value of the sessions, there will be networking opportunities built into the programme with specific networking breaks, and a catered lunch networking session.
