RF Technologies(®), a leading provider of RFID healthcare safety and security solutions, has introduced new CodeWatch(®) transmitter designs for use with its Code Alert(®) Wandering Management Solution for even more discreet resident safety.

The new decorative CodeWatch faces include an American flag and Forget-Me-Not flower. Combined with colorful banding options, the designs help improve acceptance and preserve residents' dignity, adding to a community's home-like environment. Designs are printed directly on the transmitter, so they won't peel off or fade.

A variety of banding options are available, including tamper-resistant, snap-closure banding in blue nylon or durable PVC plastic in gray, green or blue.

"The addition of colorful CodeWatch transmitters and banding is not only a wonderful way to increase acceptance of memory care residents, but they're something our customers have been asking for," said Michelle Dalton, marketing director. "As always, we're committed to providing our customers with discreet solutions that help them keep those under their care safe. Communities can also let their residents choose which transmitter and banding color they prefer, helping residents embrace the security measure."

The Code Alert Wandering Management Solution is used to protect residents in senior living communities. Residents at risk of elopement wear small, lightweight RFID transmitters that promote mobility and a home-like environment. When a resident wearing a transmitter comes within range of a monitored exit, near-door antennas register the transmitter's presence and communicate with a door controller to secure the exit. Non-transmitter-based, 24-hour perimeter monitoring is also available.

RF Technologies will showcase the new CodeWatch faces at upcoming national trade shows: The American Health Care Association (AHCA) in booth 1133 from Oct. 7-8, and LeadingAge in booth 3117 from Oct. 28-30. The shows are in Phoenix and Dallas, respectively.
