Roland DG expands TrueVIS series capabilities with new ET series extension table

Roland DG, the world's leading provider of digital printing solutions, has today announced the release of its new optional extension table for TrueVIS printers and cutters.

The ET extension table is an optional accessory designed to expand the capabilities of specific Roland DG printer models, such as the LG Series. It enables efficient cardboard packaging applications, making it ideal for businesses looking to diversify their offerings into packaging. By providing stable and precise media handling for larger or bulkier materials, the ET extension table ensures seamless and high-quality output.
Supporting CMYK, Red, Orange, clear, white, and primer inks, these printers/cutters excel in producing vibrant, high-quality output on a wide range of materials . In addition to producing signs, labels, and interior décor, they create stunning special effects like simulated embossing and textured finishes using multiple layers of clear ink.
With the introduction of the ET Series Extension Table, the LG models can now handle larger sheet sizes, including B0 paperboard – ideal for folding carton package prototypes. From small-scale items like food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical packaging to larger-scale prototypes for home appliances, toys, and beverages, this solution allows for streamlined, cost-effective production.
“Packaging plays a crucial role in daily life, and its design needs to keep pace with rapidly evolving consumer trends,” said Ryugo Nimura, Division President of Global Sales & Marketing at Roland DG. “During the development process, it’s critical to test colours, text readability, and design visibility. By combining our UV printer/cutters with the ET Series Extension Table, businesses can quickly iterate designs, refine prototypes, and bring successful packaging solutions to market faster and more affordably.”
The Extension Table empowers businesses to produce detailed, professional-grade packaging prototypes in-house without the need for outsourcing, ensuring faster turnaround times and lower production costs.
