FLASH DRY LED S5 Series offers enhanced performance and sustainability
Toyo Ink Europe N.V., a member of Japan’s Toyo Ink Group, today released the FLASH DRY™ (FD) LED S5 series, a new line of low energy-curable LE-UV and LED-UV inks for the offset printing market.

Valmet will supply two Valmet Advantage DCT tissue lines, including automation system and three tissue rewinders, to Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Joint Stock Co., Ltd. in China. The new line will support the company’s increasing demand for high-quality tissue products in the domestic and international markets. The start-ups are planned for the first half of 2022.

Mondi’s PM19 paper machine at Ružomberok in Slovakia has begun delivering Kraft Top White, an innovative and sustainable new containerboard grade, to customers in Europe.

Kraft Top White offers a win-win solution with the strength, printability and on-shelf appeal of a white fresh fibre top layer, and a recycled fibre bottom layer.
The new machine, with a production capacity of 300,000 tonnes per annum, is part of Mondi’s €370 million investment to upgrade the mill and further reduce its environmental footprint.
The use of more than 200,000 tonnes of paper for recycling from Slovakia per year supports the circular economy by keeping materials in circulation and preventing waste.

Valmet will supply a new Valmet Defibrator EVO system to the Brazilian company Guararapes. The system will be used for the company´s medium density fiberboard (MDF) production as part of its major expansion at Caçador plant in Santa Catarina state. This will give Caçador the largest MDF capacity in a single plant in all of the Americas and raise the group’s MDF output. The start-up is scheduled for 2022.

UV curing specialists GEW have announced another milestone in the company’s history. Following on from their 30th anniversary celebrations in March 2021, the company reports that the 20,000th GEW UV curing system has recently been installed.

Continued very strong rising costs for raw materials, in combination with higher freight rates fuelled by global logistic circumstances cause the necessary increase. New prices are applicable for all deliveries from July 1st onwards at the latest. Further increases will occur should these developments continue.
