Doit installs first HP Indigo 200K in China

Chinese converter expands its flexible packaging production capability and efficiency and improves its service with the installation.

Doit, a Chinese flexible packaging company, has become the first company in China to invest in HP Indigo 200K digital press to expand its production capability and improve efficiency.

Doit, established in 2019, headquartered in Foshan, Guangdong Province, is a professional supplier of a range of flexible packaging. It delivers products and services using digital printing technology for traditional flexible packaging printing enterprises, brand owners and traders.
With this new machine, Doit now has a printing fleet of three digital printing machines, with Indigo 20000 installed in 2019 and Indigo 25K installed in 2023.
‘For this new investment, what struck us is the improved printing speed of HP Indigo 200K, increased about 30 percent compared to Indigo 25K,’ said Chai, chief operating officer of Doit, ‘We want to not only expand our production capacity, but also provide customers with more efficient, lower cost and more flexible services and solutions with this machine.’
For Doit, digital printing technology is a good replacement of analog equipment for flexible packaging production, allowing the flexibility to produce small-run, personalized and sample orders.
Doit also adheres to technological innovation. For flexible packaging, there are many differences between digital printing and traditional gravure printing, including the pre-press document processing, color management and pouch making process. The company has finished different material tests with HP Indigo press, most of which are pioneering in this industry. Now, the company has obtained more than 20 patents of digital flexible package production.
What’s more, Doit constantly optimizes and improves its internal management, minimizing the production costs and improving production efficiency, so as to ensure reasonable profit margins of the company without sacrificing product quality and service.
‘The cooperation with HP has always delighted and exceeded our expectations. We are also very confident that this investment will soon provide our customers with better products and services,’ Added Chai.
