EPLF increases its membership with Agfa

EPLF, the Association of European Producers of Laminate Flooring, has recently welcomed Agfa as new Associate Member of the association.

“We are very proud to welcome Agfa as a new associate member of the EPLF. Cooperation is at the heart of what we do as an association and, in light of that, we are excited to welcome Agfa to benefit from their experience in printing technologies for laminate flooring. We look forward to fruitful exchanges with Agfa,” stated EPLF president Max von Tippelskirch (Swiss Krono Group).
“As a company with a long tradition in the printing industry, we are delighted to join the EPLF and to share our expertise on printing solutions for laminate applications with a wider network of flooring experts,” said Marc Graindourze, Business Manager Industrial Inks at Agfa.
Agfa, a Belgium-based company, was created over 150 years ago and develops, produces and distributes a broad range of imaging systems for the printing industry, the healthcare sector and for specific industrial applications. Among others, the company produces print solutions for laminates by using water-based inkjet inks to print on decor paper for laminate applications. In cooperation with Unilin Division Technologies, a member of EPLF, the ink formulation has been adapted to fit with existing process steps for impregnation and lamination. Today, Agfa’s water-based inkjet inks are fully approved for this specific application and can be used with high-productive inkjet print systems.
With this new addition to the association, EPLF now represents 16 ordinary members, 25 associate members, and 11 supporting members.
