Ultimate TechnoGraphics Drives Students Success at Clemson University

Ultimate TechnoGraphics, leader in imposition and finishing automation software, is proud to work with Clemson University Department of Graphic Communication to drive the academic success of their students with the help of its imposition software solution, Ultimate Impostrip®.

Since integrating Ultimate Impostrip® into their Graphic Communications program, Clemson University students have distinguished themselves in the printing industry. For instance, their student chapter of the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) was recognized for best production and best design for their journal during the past academic year. Also, one of their students won the "Best of Show-Collegiate Division" for her projects as awarded by the Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA) sponsored by NAPCO.
“Ultimate Impostrip® allows us to easily teach graphic production techniques and work though educational exercises and projects that occur on a regular basis here in our undergraduate program.” says Eric Weisenmiller, Associate Professor at Clemson University. “We are truly thankful to Ultimate TechnoGraphics for their years of outstanding support to our program.”
Imposition software automation at Ultimate means lights out, hands free, true reliable automation. Designed with productivity in mind, Ultimate Impostrip® optimizes every aspect of the prepress imposition workflow with tools that are easy-to-use yet extremely versatile. Its user-friendly interface and intuitive tools reduce the learning curve tremendously enabling people with little or no experience at all in printing to quickly be up-to-speed and setup the software to automatically impose jobs of different product types and sizes at high speed.
“As the second-generation leadership at Ultimate, I can understand first-hand the value of training the next generations of our industry”, shares Julie Watson, CEO of Ultimate TechnoGraphics. “We are happy to see Clemson University’s students strive, and we are glad to be a part of it. We look forward to seeing what they will accomplish in the future.”
Clemson University’s Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Communications prepares students for professional careers in printing, publishing, packaging graphics, digital media, content creation, and the greater communication industry. Students work in a 14,000-square-foot main Graphics Lab and have access to two additional laboratories containing state-of-the-art printing and packaging equipment. Their unique concept of hands-on learning prepares students for a variety of professions within the realm of graphic communications.
