Enterprise Document Management. A New Approach to Document Management

The success of AURA's course 'Discover the possibilities of Enterprise Document Management with AuraPortal' held on February 26 has prompted organizations of all kinds to inquire about how AuraPortal Helium manages documents.

AURA, a global provider of AuraPortal. Business Process Management (BPM) software, has announced that the course attendees accredited the online course with the highest possible score. They commented on, among other virtues, its high quality, the methodology used and the detail in its explanation. They also noted AuraPortal's large capacity for document management and control and encouraged AURA to continue their initiative of free high quality teaching courses.

One of the important points covered in the course was the importance of managing the documents involved in a process with the same software that manages the process itself. Indeed, the use, handling and control of documents form a part of a business' daily activity and therefore cannot be treated independently.

Pablo Trilles, Vice President of AuraPortal comments "Until now, document management has always been performed independently of the other company activities, but with a little perspective it is difficult to conceive Digital Content and Document Management independent of the Management of the Company's Operational Processes".

AuraPortal's Document Management is fully integrated into the business' processes. Through Processes, Rules and Data Maintenance structures it automates and optimizes the entire document life cycle: Capture and Creation, Storage, Flow, Access and Deletion, allowing the secure and effective management of all corporate documentation, regardless of their complexity.

It is therefore not a question of Document Management leading a workflow. On the contrary, BPM software should include complete document management capabilities using its immense power to execute and control operational business processes to manage and control Documents and Digital Content.
