Artfinder to Bring 60,000 Artworks to Inaugural Pop-up in London

Artfinder, the largest marketplace for affordable art, today announce that it is taking its 4,000 artists and 60,000 artworks on the road. From Saturday 3 October to Sunday 5 October, Artfinder Pop-Up will showcase a breakthrough gallery where visitors can choose what artwork hangs on the walls.

Artfinder CEO Jonas Almgren describes: "We want to offer our visitors the personal touch and intimacy of a gallery setting, without the limited selection associated with a physical space. We are also reinforcing the individuality of each experience by empowering the visitor to customise the exhibition, so that everyone can be their own curator."

The company's mission has always been to enable more artists to live from making art, and more buyers to live with art every day, and for the first time artists and buyers will be able to meet in person, as 11 local artists will exhibit at the event.

Collating this together, Artfinder Pop-Up will combine:

Physical Artwork on Display - a range of different mediums
Live Artist Demonstrations - speak with and view artist at work
Innovative Interactive Technology - curate the artwork on display through interactive screens

"We value the authenticity of art, so when we introduced this new technology, we made sure that it is so intuitive that visitors will be immersed in the art they explore, rather than the technology they use," Almgren continues.

The inaugural Artfinder Pop-Up will be held in London, and will later travel across the United Kingdom, allowing art lovers in towns and cities to engage with local artists, as well as with art from across the globe. "We believe art is for everyone, so we're extremely excited to be able to offer a wide range of affordable options while allowing visitors to explore art in person," Jonas Almgren concludes.
