Tower Products Europe, manufacturer of environmentally sensitive pressroom chemistry, has obtained an approval from ISEGA for Millennium 5000, an advanced fountain solution for use on high speed sheet-fed presses.
ISEGA is a German-based, independent testing agency that performs testing for products used in the printing and food packaging markets. Its approval confirms that Millennium 5000, which already has FOGRA approval, may be used safely as a fountain solution in the printing process. According to the ISEGA report, “the food packaging materials printed with the help of this product may stand in direct contact with their unprinted side with all kinds of food, as far as the product is concerned”.
Millennium 5000 is a product that can be used on presses running up to and over 18,000 impressions per hour and it performs well with both paper and non-porous substrates. When used in HUV and LED UV environments, the fountain solution does not interfere with drying.
Ivan Kraaijenvanger, Managing Director Tower Products Europe, which uses fellow Dutch company Wifac B.V. to exclusively distribute its products in BENELUX, said: “Millennium 5000 is yet another Tower technology solution helping printers produce outstanding work for their customers, while complying with stringent food safety directives.”
Millennium 5000, as well as other Tower pressroom chemical products, are available through authorized Tower dealers and Tower Products Europe bv.
