Wavien Introduces 4-D Holographic Display Using Dual Parabolic Reflectors

4-D Holographic Display using Wavien patented Dual Parabolic Reflector (DPR™) System applied to imaging and display of real life and digital objects in 3-D together with time motion with applications to theme parks, merchandizing, market promotions, security purposes, and remote equipment installations.

Wavien, Inc., a company that has been specializing in the research and development of reflector based illumination systems, has announced the latest advancement in the application of their patented Dual Parabolic Reflector system. This is used in a 4-D holographic display of real life and digitally created objects with the added dimension of time-motion. The net effect is the relocation of such real life and digitally created objects from their actual location remotely to another location floating in air. Such relocation effects and properties can be applied to theme parks, merchandizing, market promotions, security purposes, disease control, and remote equipment installations. The addition of the 4-th dimension increases the applications many folds compared to the standard 3-dimensional systems.

"DPR is Wavien's Dual Parabolic Reflector system, which uses two off-axis paraboloid surfaces facing each other and a net effect of imaging a real life or digital generated object and relocates the image remotely from the original locations. This system also allows motion of such objects within a certain region producing time-motion of the objects, providing the very exciting 4-th dimension for many applications, which were not possible before," stated Dr. Kenneth Li, President and CEO of Wavien, Inc., who is also the inventor of the RLT technology. "One of the first applications Wavien works on is to relocate merchandize and fashion mannequins inside the store windows to the outside in the middle of the sidewalk. Pedestrians will be approaching such floating images, examining them in close proximity, within arms length, and walk through the images afterwards. It will provide such an extraordinary experience that they will never forget," Dr. Li added. With all the other applications above, Wavien is actively seeking licensees to move the technology into the market place.
