Eurasia Packaging, 10 Italian companies present as a collective

Eurasia Packaging, Turkey’s largest annual trade fair devoted to the packaging industry, will begin tomorrow, Wednesday 11 October. The 28th edition of the show will run until Saturday 14 October in the Tüyap Fair Convention Centre in Istanbul. The 2022 edition of Eurasia Packaging saw the participation of 1,045 exhibitors and was attended by 72,652 visitors, including approximately 20% international buyers.

Ucima (the Italian Automated Packaging Machinery Manufacturers’ Association) will be taking part in the event for the first time in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency ITA. An Italian delegation of 10 companies will be present, offering Turkish and international buyers an overview of the finest Italian technologies for the food processing and packaging industry. The following Italian companies will be hosted in Hall 12A: Altopack, BOBST Italia Spa, CMI Industries Spa, DUETTI PACKAGING S.R.L., KBB Italia Srl, MW Lak Solutions srl, PIGO srl, Pozzi Massimo, Raytec Vision S.p.a. and RL Automatic Industrial System srl.
This large delegation testifies to the importance of the event and the strategic significance of Turkey as one of the sector’s key export markets. During the first few months of last year, Italy overtook Germany to become the country’s leading packaging machinery supplier with a market share of 34%.
UCIMA’s Chairman Riccardo Cavanna commented: “We’re ready to offer global buyers a unique insight into the quality of Italian products, a distinguishing factor that has consistently set us apart from all our competitors. Taking part collectively as a cohesive group of companies further enhances the significance of our participation. Presenting a united front makes us stronger and boosts our role as ambassadors for an industry whose value is acknowledged all over the world. Our companies are the overall market leaders in this region, an important position that we are committed to maintaining and strengthening.”
