High print quality without waiting

Sustainability is not a trend but a necessity. From being a desirable extra in the past, the responsible treatment of the environment has now become a non-negotiable must and is increasingly required by law. The LKA would like to achieve the greatest benefit for its customers, maintain quality and quantity at the same level and make a contribution to the environment. In view of the constantly increasing requirements regarding flexible production processes, high quality standards and environmental compatibility, LKA decided to use the nyloflex® Xpress Thermal Processing System from Flint Group. The desire to act more responsibly by reducing VOC emissions no longer means having to sacrifice quality in printing plates.

Increase quality, protect the environment
Michael Lamprecht, managing director at LKA, says: "We were looking for an alternative to solvent-washable printing plates. The nyloflex® Xpress system from Flint Group showed us the greatest advantages in terms of sustainability, environmental protection and occupational safety". The nyloflex® Xpress system allows for easy compliance with local VOC regulations because developer rolls are used instead of solvents. This also leads to lower health risks for employees, as they do not have to work with solvents. A lean and fast platemaking process with a low plate mix reduces complexity. Combined with significantly reduced energy consumption, while print quality can match that of solvent plates.
Thanks to Flint Group's qualified support, customers can concentrate on their core business. Flint Group analyses exactly what their customers need, trains their staff, provides on-site support during installation, takes care of remote support and rapid troubleshooting. "Both the service and quality convinced us, as did the faster availability. From imaging to the finished plate in just 55 minutes. The print quality also speaks for itself. The lack of use of solvents definitely leads to better environmental protection, sustainability and much better working conditions for our staff. The thermal printing plates deliver excellent results, from brilliant solid areas to detailed motifs, and are in no way inferior to their solvent-washable equivalents," says Nina Lamprecht, managing director at LKA.
Armed for the future
"The interest in solvent-free printing plates is very high among many of our customers. It is all about sustainability and environmental protection. By installing the nyloflex® Xpress system we were able to meet these requirements. Additionally, the faster availability of individual printing plates is very helpful. This can greatly reduce downtimes at the printing press. With this installation, we see ourselves very well positioned for the future," adds Nina Lamprecht.
We have had a close, cooperative, trusting and fair collaboration with Flint Group for 37 years. Flint Group has been our partner ever since we produced the first polymer plates. Many years of cooperation have shown that quality, service, excellent care and support pay off.
