ECKART, one of the leading manufacturers of effect pigments and metallic printing inks, will be presenting its design concept illoom. at the Packaging Première Milan, Fieramilanocity, pavilion 4, stand E 10, from May 28 – 30, 2019
illoom. is ECKART’s popular product and service portfolio for designers. illoom. was developed as a means to discuss and explore brilliant metallic effects for packaging in the early stages of the design process. “Designers turn to metallic effects when considering designs for luxury and high-end packaging” continues Sontheimer, “Whilst there are many ways to bring metallic effects to packaging, ECKART offers a more sustainable and potentially cost effective alternative to other metallised substrates, giving benefits to designers which can then be passed on to their clients.”
ECKART pigments and inks combine brilliant effects with optimized solutions, ensuring the lowest possible environmental impact, following Swiss Ordinance & European Regulations.
“We had a very positive experience at the Packaging Première exhibition in 2018, so we were sure that we wanted to be here again this year.” said Christoph Sontheimer, Global Head of Business Development Graphic Arts at ECKART.
“The popularity of using metallic effects on packaging is as great as ever, if not more so, when it comes to luxury packaging. Packaging Première has therefore become an important date in our calendar.”
ECKART will be co-exhibiting with its strategic partner, All4Labels. The ECKART and All4Labels cooperation combines superior substrates, excellent print techniques and exciting metallic and pearlescent effects. Visitors to the stand will be able to see examples of these premium quality labels with dazzling metallic effects.
ECKART is also presenting the illoom. LookBook & Effect Fans in Milan. The illoom. LookBook demonstrates a multitude of beautiful metallic effects, suitable for printing on different paper and card substrates. The illoom. Effect Fans show the optical appearances of specially selected, striking metallic inks in pocketsize format, allowing the user to easily compare different metallic effects.
