G&D Demonstrates Solutions for Cash Cycle Security at Intergraf 2015

Giesecke & Devrient (G&D), together with Louisenthal, will be at the Intergraf International Security Printers Conference in Copenhagen from April 22 to 24 to showcase innovative solutions for protecting the cash cycle and will be demonstrating their expertise in technology and design for security solutions.

"High-quality security solutions and complex security features make banknotes high-tech products and therefore a secure means of payment," said Dr. Wolfram Seidemann, Head of Sales, Marketing, and Design at G&D and Chairman of the Louisenthal Management Board. "Security solutions are designed in a professional process to provide optimum protection against counterfeiting through the integration of highly sophisticated security features. At the same time, the aesthetics and durability of the banknotes are important, while the banknotes also remain a hallmark of their respective countries. At Giesecke & Devrient we bring together a vast range of expertise that enables us to explore completely new avenues in order to ensure that the outstanding anti-counterfeiting security of banknotes will be maintained in the future too."
G&D and Louisenthal will be presenting a new concept for communicating security features at Intergraf. This concept demonstrates how the intelligent combination of individual partial solutions, defined by various technologies and procedures, makes a banknote more secure: "Using the same image – be it in the watermark, in the tactile intaglio printing, or on the color shift foil – significantly improves the authentication process for the user thanks to quick comparison and makes reproduction extremely difficult for counterfeiters. Depicting the same image in different technologies demands the greatest level of expertise in design and technology, and places further barriers in the way of counterfeiters. We demonstrate how it can be done," explains Seidemann.
