BÖWE SYSTEC at drupa 2016

A step ahead in white paper production with the Mini Bridge

drupa 2016 opens its doors to visitors in Düsseldorf from May 31 to June 10, 2016. Here, at the world’s leading trade fair for graphic and industrial printing as well as media and multichannel technology, BÖWE SYSTEC will be presenting a wide range of inserting systems together with the smart software platform Orbiter at booth B39 in hall 6 under the motto ‘A step ahead’. One of the company’s product highlights is set to be the Mini Bridge, a bundled and centralized printing and inserting solution.

“Our presence at drupa and the solutions presented at the fair are governed by our new motto ‘A step ahead’,” explains Joachim Koschier, Group Managing Director of BÖWE SYSTEC GmbH. “This motto emphasizes our ability and will to give our customers a crucial competitive edge in the market with our innovative solutions. With us as a partner, our customers are always a step ahead of the competition – both now and in the future.” BÖWE SYSTEC is presenting an impressive range of inserting solutions at drupa, from the Direct Mailer, an ideal entry-level solution in the mailing sector, via the high-throughput Turbo 9G all the way to the Fusion Cross, the high-performance inserting system for all applications in the top performance segment.

Mini Bridge: where printing meets inserting
BÖWE SYSTEC will also be presenting a new product, the Mini Bridge, a solution for implementation of the White Paper Factory in the field of inserting developed jointly by BÖWE SYSTEC and the well-known printer manufacturer RISO. This integrated system features a bridge component that links a top-quality full-color inkjet printer from RISO with a high-capacity inserting system. The Mini Bridge prints documents on demand, transports them onward automatically and subsequently inserts them without any need for manual intervention. Closed loop processing, featuring full camera-based monitoring of the document flow throughout, guarantees highest possible integrity. This system thus enables fast and reliable production of personalized documents printed in full color – and of envelopes too, as the
Mini Bridge can be equipped with an optional module for the color printing of logos or individual messages on envelopes. Thanks to the Mini Bridge, there is no longer any need to stockpile large quantities
of pre-printed documents and envelopes.

Low-cost industrial production solution
An industrial production solution available at office costs, the Mini Bridge can process various envelope formats up to C5 – and optionally up to C4 – flexibly at a throughput rate of up to 4,200 envelopes an hour. With its high-speed paper feed, the full-color inkjet printer is designed to cope with print volumes of up to 150 pages Simplex or up to 75 pages Duplex per minute. If required, it can also be equipped with a High-Capacity Feeder that can stack up to 4,000 sheets in
A4 format. As the only standardized system on the market with full White Paper Factory functionality, the Mini Bridge is definitely true to the new motto ‘A step ahead’: it opens up a wealth of new opportunities for small and large mailrooms alike. Not only can the
Mini Bridge be used to optimize the production of a high number of different jobs with small batch sizes, but closed loop production can also be initiated fully automatically via a BÖWE One software interface. Large mailrooms in particular can save a great deal of time and expense by generating reprints automatically. The diverse application areas of the Mini Bridge include standard transaction letters and individual targeting, as well as the production of contracts, individual quotes, business correspondence, payroll and other sensitive documents.
“We are giving our customers the opportunity to find out all about the Mini Bridge alongside our innovative range of solutions for document processing and process automation at drupa,” stresses Joachim Koschier. “We will be able to help them discover how they can exploit our technological edge to their benefit at this event.”
