Digitalisation solutions for the strapping of the future will be presented by Mosca's Innovation Manager Andreas Ding in a technical lecture at this year's virtual Drupa on 21 April from 11:20 to 11:40.
With the help of digital applications, Mosca optimises the availability and use of strapping machines. At this year's Drupa, which is being held online, interested parties will be able to gain an insight into new solutions. "For each application, we ask ourselves how we can optimise the process even further with digital solutions," explains Mosca's Innovation Manager Andreas Ding, who will be giving the presentation at the virtual trade fair. "In this way, we ensure that both our customers and we are prepared for the challenges of the future." For example, Mosca is developing an intelligent coil management system that detects when a customer's strapping material is running low. For this purpose, RFID tags are built into the strapping coils, which evaluate strap and inventory data and send this information to Mosca via IOT. There, a new order is automatically triggered.
Transparency about machines and systems
Thanks to digital solutions, customers will also be able to receive even more targeted support in the event of malfunctions in the future: With condition monitoring, important key figures of all electrical systems, such as motor temperatures, are recorded around the clock, stored and visualised in dashboards. In this way, changes in performance can be detected and remedied at an early stage, even before a malfunction occurs. If a malfunction does occur, the web application informs the customer about the problem and offers suggestions for solutions in the future.
Mosca is also planning a practical solution for customers who cannot invest in the acquisition of a machine: a "pay per use" model is to put the acquisition costs in the background in favour of the actual use. The customer then pays exclusively for the machine's performance; Mosca takes care of maintenance or troubleshooting.
