Latest product range from Mimaki increases efficiency and quality in signmaking and textile printing

Mimaki launches new 330 series printer and CG-AR series cutter in entry-level segment
Mimaki Europe today announced the launch of the all-new JV330-160, CJV330-160 and TS330-1600 large format inkjet printer series 330 and the new CG-AR cutting plotter series.

Based on a cross-platform strategy, the 330 Series models, which debuted at the Global Innovation Days event, offer a high-quality yet cost-effective solution for multiple sectors. Similarly, the entry-level CG-AR series cutting plotters offer new workflow optimisation features and are available in three sizes. Both launches are in line with Mimaki's strategic goal of helping customers expand and enhance their printing services and product offerings.
330 Series: Launch of Mimaki's latest printers
Following on from the successful 100 and 300 Plus series, the 330 series models, designed for the mid-range and high-end segments, feature high image quality and productivity. With their wide colour gamut and consistent print image, as well as their high resolution, Mimaki's latest printers are perfectly suited for use in sign making and textile printing.
The JV330-160 and CJV330-160 eco-solvent inkjet printers offer the high image quality required for indoor and outdoor signage applications with the new Deep Colour Natural input profile, featuring brilliant solid colours, natural skin tones and deep reds and neutral greys. With a throughput of 21.0 m2/h in standard four-colour printing, this printer is ideal for urgent print jobs. The built-in cleaning mechanisms and monitoring functions ensure an efficient workflow and longer operating time.
Both models feature a newly developed take-up system for loading three rolls of media at once, significantly reducing the time and effort required to change media. By simply rotating the changer, an operator can easily position the desired material. Another new standard feature is an "XY Slitter" for longitudinal and cross cutting. This eliminates the need for unwinding and cutting, allowing print providers to speed up finishing with less manual intervention.
The JV330-160 printer-only model and the CJV330-160 printer with integrated cutter will be available globally in April 2022.
Apart from the new solution for signmaking, Mimaki has also launched the TS330-1600, an inkjet sublimation printer for the textile industry. Designed for high productivity and image quality and equipped with new features for stable printing operation, the TS330-1600 has a throughput of up to 69 m2/h in draft mode with 4 colours or up to 135 m2/h in the fastest mode. The newly developed cleaning mechanism removes unwanted ink residue from the nozzle surface with a textile wiper. This reduces ink splashes and improves general maintenance of the machine.
In addition, the TS330-1600 has optional enhancements to further improve efficiency, such as the 10 kg ink container feed unit, which reduces ink costs compared to the 2 litre ink pack and enables longer, continuous printing. A mini-jumbo roll unit can also be added to load thermal transfer paper and further reduce operating costs.
An improved rewind system with two motors on both sides of the printer ensures even load distribution and stable rewinding of the printed paper even at high volumes. TxLink4, Mimaki's RIP software for the textile printing market, is included with every TS330-1600.
All products are equipped with "Mimaki Weaving Dot Technology" (MWDT), a technology to change the placement of ink drops depending on the printing conditions. This prevents streaking or uneven printing due to print head or alignment problems. To enhance operator convenience, all models in the series also feature "Mimaki Remote Access" (MRA) to allow users to remotely check the operating status of the machine.
Increasing efficiency with the CG-AR entry-level cutting plotters
In addition to the 330 series printers, Mimaki now offers the new CG-AR series cutting plotters, available in three different sizes (CG-60AR, CG-100AR and CG-130AR). These plotters offer far better features than competing entry-level models available today. Due to strong customer demand for shorter lead times, these cutters have increased speed and precision and are very user-friendly. They also support a wide variety of materials, including PVC, transparent and reflective films.
For remote control, all CG-AR series models are also equipped with MRA. They also feature Mimaki's ID Cut function. In combination with selected Mimaki printers, print data with barcodes is printed and the cutting data is further transferred to the CG-AR series. The new range will also be available globally in April 2022.
"Following the positive response from our regular 100 Series customers, we have seen strong market demand from the sign making and textile printing sectors for more cost-effective technologies for the mid to high-end segment," said Arjen Evertse, General Manager Sales EMEA. "This was the driving factor behind our latest cross-platform technology, the 330 Series. In line with our strategy to increase productivity and optimise workflows, the new features and functions in this series are designed to meet the needs of customers across multiple industries who want to improve quality and shorten delivery times. We look forward to showcasing these products to our regular customers as well as potential customers at FESPA 2022 in Berlin."
