Mawsons Speciality Drinks

Long before the health worries of artificial sweetener, colours and flavours were to be heard of, Mawson's believed in a pure, artificial free product. Suitable for everyone, even children.

The small family firm of Joe Mawson had always produced herbal drinks and these were served from the original temperance bars. The grandson Nigel Mawson decided to carry on with this product and produced small quantities for the market. The product was popular and sold well. Unfortunately, in this modern world (and as often is the case with small family businesses) Nigel could not produce or sell enough to keep the business financially afloat and Nigel sold the family company to its present owners so that the product could survive.

New investment was sought and the company of Mawsons Traditional Drinks Limited still trades today. Controlled by backers who were as passionate as the original family and love the product and what it stood for, dandelion & burdock and sarsaparilla had a future and wow what a taste!

Using the same recipe of fantastic natural ingredients, no artificial flavours and no artificial sweeteners it was decided that this wonderful product should be launched into the modern world for the benefit of all.

Investment was made. Production and sales were increased dramatically, modern production and marketing efforts were applied and today Mawson's Traditional Drinks Limited is a company that has grown year on year and has a huge following. So huge Mawson's now has many unique flavours and recipes and they needed a more flexible way to print the bottle and packing labels.

Mawson's selected KTEC GROUP to carry out testing for the introduction of a new in house digital label printing system. KTEC GROUP recommended and installed a VIPCOLOUR VP700e colour digital label printer after tests proved the Mawson's traditional look labels could be printed at high quality and at high speeds needed to cope with the volumes, yet the cost of each label was low enough to make good savings on labels and eliminates much of the cost of buying in, storage and wastage of pre-printed labels. Low cost blank labels on rolls were all that was needed printing exactly the number of labels with each colour coded flavour design to match orders for that week.
