At LogiMAT in Stuttgart from 25 to 27 April 2023, the thin-film specialist will be demonstrating technologies for reliable, robust as well as durable product labelling, with the help of which the communication of variable data is made possible - for higher process, but also supply chain security. TTR tapes are used in a wide range of industries, from automotive to chemical and pharmaceutical. In individual consultation, customised solutions can be developed that precisely meet the requirements of the respective customer.
The (R)Evolution of Product Labelling
But KURZ goes one step further. Under the motto "Be unique. Beyond standard." the expert for surface finishes shows how hidden information can be integrated directly into the ink ribbons with minimal effort. The two innovative solutions TTR Unique UV and TTR Unique VEROSPEC® contribute to providing products and packaging with reliable tamper protection in a cost-efficient way. With both technologies, even the thinnest stripes of a barcode can be equipped with security features, hidden in the printing ink of the thermal transfer ribbon. The elements with fluorescent properties only become visible under ultraviolet light. To the naked eye, however, the correspondingly printed label looks quite ordinary. Whereas with TTR Unique UV a conventional UV lamp is sufficient for inspection at any point in the supply chain, a special reader is required for TTR Unique VEROSPEC®.
"Our TTR tapes are used in very many industries. Accordingly, the requirements of our customers also differ greatly in some cases. We always take this into account in the further development of our products - because it is important to us to offer customised solutions," explains Thomas Galsterer, Sales Expert TTR at KURZ, and continues: "For example, there are almost no limits to the design possibilities when it comes to equipping the tapes with personalised data. In addition to the logo and company name, various other information can be incorporated as required."
