One-day information events on process optimisation in the die-cutting and gluing of folding cartons for production managers, plant managers and machine operators
BOBST is inviting folding-carton manufacturers from the German-speaking countries to the 2014 FOLDING CARTON DAYS at its Competence Center in Meerbusch from 25 to 27 September 2014. In practice-oriented presentations and machine demonstrations in the framework of the individual, one-day events, the experts from BOBST will inform their visitors about the latest possibilities for optimising the production processes involved in the die-cutting and gluing of folding cartons. The programme devised by Bobst Meerbusch for the 2014 FOLDING CARTON DAYS aims to address not only production and plant managers, but particularly also machine operators. Consequently, there will be live demonstrations, including job changes, on a latest-generation EXPERTCUT 106 PER flat-bed die-cutter with Power Register II, and also on an EXPERTFOLD 110 A-2 CSM folder-gluer. The two machines are installed at the Bobst Competence Center Meerbusch for demonstration and training purposes.
The visitors will additionally have the opportunity to see the universal ERGOSA packer from IMPACK Packaging Equipment Design at work. It combines great flexibility and high performance in the production of short to medium runs of side-seam and 4/6-dot cartons, thus closing the gap between semi-automatic and fully automatic packers. The ERGOSA system thus fits perfectly into the BOBST portfolio, which encompasses various manual and automatic packers for folder-gluers.
The latest offerings from the BOBST Services Business Unit will also feature in the programme for the 2014 FOLDING CARTON DAYS. Among other things, they include the innovative OIL CLEANER filter system for cleaning the beams of flat-bed die-cutters from BOBST. The innovative OIL CLEANER cleans the oil by filtering out metal particles and degradation products down to a size of 3 µm. Installed parallel to the oil circuit, it significantly prolongs the service life of the oil, thus sparing the environment and reducing maintenance costs. Beam conditioning for flat-bed die-cutters is another preventive service offered by BOBST. It removes any and all oxidation of the beams with the help of a patented tool from BOBST and special, NSF-certified cleaning agents. On the other hand, the 'Boost my BOBST' programme guarantees folding-carton producers that their investments have a safe future, while at the same time offering them possibilities for tapping into new sales potentials. In short: the visitors to the 2014 FOLDING CARTON DAYS will be given ideas regarding how they can utilise the services offered by BOBST to further improve the productivity, production quality, reliability, cost-efficiency and eco-balance of their machines.
The programme will be rounded off by the latest information on the innovative Bobst Meerbusch training concept. After all, the aim of the BOBST training offers is likewise to enable customers to optimally exploit the performance of their machines.
Four partner companies will be participating in the event: Baumer hhs, Deutsche Leasing, HESSE Stanzwerkzeuge and PLANATOL. Baumer hhs will be directly involved in the programme, providing a presentation on the subject of innovative adhesive application systems and a live demonstration.
Bobst Meerbusch already invited folding-carton manufacturers from Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands to the BENELUX VOUWKARTONDAG, a comparable event, in mid-June 2014. Almost 60 participants from more than 20 well-known companies took up the invitation.
