Esko continues to simplify and optimise production with its solutions focusing on colour consistency, data processing and sustainable insights
The packaging industry continues to grow while adapting to today's very real threats. Supply chain volatility, labour shortages, and rising consumable and energy costs highlight the accelerating need for converters to become more efficient throughout their workflow. This has prompted Esko to release a series of innovations today (28 March) to help companies accelerate their digital transformation and significantly increase productivity.
Esko Release 22.03 includes many new features including:
- New - Next generation colour preflight with Automation Engine and ArtPro+.
- New - Assembly instructions with ArtiosCAD, enabling up to 20% faster assembly time.
- New - Native Apple Silicon support for ArtPro+, DeskPack and Studio
- New - ArtPro+ Digital Edition for digital print workflows
- New - More user-friendly WebCenter and improved reports.
"The latest software release includes a number of breakthrough innovations to streamline complex workflows," said Jan De Roeck, Esko Director of Marketing, Industry Relations and Strategy. "Our solution simplifies processes from structure design to report analytics, enables process control and guarantees output quality at a previously unattainable level with powerful colour software."
"Ongoing software innovation is the answer to the market need for more effective processes that connect workflows between presses, departments and even remote locations," says Jan. "Many companies are in the process of digitising numerous processes, tasks and workflows. We support this ongoing digitisation with our even more powerful, robust, yet simple and user-friendly solutions."
"To meet the growing need for meaningful insights, we've added new features to this release to help companies make the most of their data," said Jan. "At the same time, companies already well advanced with their digital transformation and data collection gain a valuable tool to further increase their productivity."
With new reporting tools in Automation Engine as well as business analytics in WebCenter, companies are able to extract useful business insights from their data, find out new efficient opportunities and minimise material waste. "The new enhancements to our WebCenter packaging management solution not only provide accessibility and improved usability, but also better equip teams for today's challenges with advanced reporting capabilities and dynamic 3D views," said Jan.
"Our close relationship with clients and partners helps us identify and respond to specific market trends," he added. "With colour accuracy and consistency central to brands - and therefore our customers - today's packaging manufacturers need to be able to guarantee accurate colour regardless of run length or substrate. That's exactly why we've introduced the next generation of our Colour Preflight in ArtPro+ and Automation Engine."
"True prediction of colour conversion results and defined tolerance limits to ensure colour quality not only ensure print accuracy, but also speed up the entire editing process and simplify colour matching," says Jan. "In addition, some of these innovations become more accessible than ever with Esko Release 22.03. Our goal is to remove all barriers to digital transformation and equip everyone with the data, analytics and production intelligence they need to successfully meet today's challenges and be prepared for tomorrow's challenges ahead."
"This is exactly why our new version will also feature a Digital Edition of ArtPro+, for example. This demonstrates our commitment to digital print production and enables digital printers to take advantage of our native PDF editing software and complete more print jobs thanks to automation. In addition, the latest release adds native Apple Silicon support for ArtPro+, DeskPack and Studio."
"Esko Release 22.03 enhances the entire workflow from idea to production, whether by ensuring the integrity of a design idea from screen to package, increasing the efficiency of the entire process or reducing the amount of waste generated," said Jan. "With the latest updates, we are primarily helping our customers to enhance and improve their workflow processes with cloud benefits and the latest automation technology."
"Even though the industry is currently suffering from destabilising market trends, we continue to work closely with our customers, taking their opinions seriously and offering them tangible benefits with innovations tailored to their needs," Jan said. "With the latest software release, packaging manufacturers are now able to reap the benefits of Esko solutions and accelerate their business development."
